Welcome to photography by Tony Cuthbertson - Wedding Gallery

I’m passionate about what I do and have a need to produce great quality work. To
this end I use film, which affords me the quality I’m after which is not
available with any other media. When I shoot in black and white, I see in black
and white. I make a conscious decision in choosing black and white or colour
film, depending on the situation, subject matter and artistic merit. However, so
as to maximize the benefits of modern photographic technology, I have all my
film scanned after development which enables me to download my work onto my
computer where I have a programme installed specifically for album design. After
editing, made easier on a computer screen, I am also able to make a digital disc
of pictures for you. The best of both worlds and well worth the extra cost that
buying and developing film gives me.
The album that I use is the impressive Jorgenson. It’s a lavish black leather
presentation album that has 30 pages. Each of these pages are uniquely designed
by me to fit your pictures and the way the story unfolds within them. I have a
wealth of experience in doing this as I was the picture editor on Ego magazine,
and have also done much graphic design for brochures and posters.
So this is reportage wedding photography at it’s best. This is social
journalism. Realism. Natural and candid. Informal and creative. And though we
have all the pomp, circumstance and ceremony no pictures here are staged. No-one
is trying to be someone else, no one is wanting to be somewhere else, and
certainly not me. This is where I want to be. These are my pictures. This is
your story.

As you can see, I start when your day does, more often than not photographing my
bride and her bride’s maids at the hairdressers.

I will be trying to capture as many pictures of your ceremony as I can, though
this is largely restricted to what the officials will allow.

Once this is finished I will be following my newly wedded couple as they make their way to the reception.

There are speeches and reactions to be photographed, and of course your first
dance.
And of course I shall be setting up a small portrait studio for you, your
friends and relatives to visit and be photographed during the evening
celebrations.
Studio Portraits.![]()
This is an ideal time, since your friends and close relatives are dressed so
well for the occasion, to take their family portraits in the studio that I
shall be making at your reception. And of course there is the essential studio
shots of the newly wedded couple.

I couldn’t resist at this point, showing a picture of Jennifer Saunders
and her three
daughters
who
attended one of our Redcow weddings. See the Redcow two man team at
www.redcowphoto.co.uk.
So you will have your fabulous Jorgenson album and a disc of around 300
wedding and studio pictures which you may print for yourselves and your friends
and relatives as and when you wish.
I am willing to travel anywhere in the U.K. and will not need any additional
expenses paid if the distance is within 50 miles of Chester in the North West
and Tiverton in the West Country. Outside of these areas you will need to
discuss expenses with me prior to booking, and I will be pleased to receive your
phone call of enquiry, on this subject, or indeed any other, including the
possibility of a home visit before booking and any special needs you may have.
We also have a two man team whereby one of us will follow the groom prior to the
ceremony and give further photographic coverage for the rest of the day. This
also involves a larger album of 50 pages and an increased amount of pictures on
your disc, around 450 pictures.
Don’t hesitate to call me for a chat, and don’t forget that I will visit you for
a demonstration with no obligation.
